Drugstore Makeup Haul

So here I am with a drugstore (or highstreet, whatever you like to call it) makeup haul. I have decided I really need to stop buying makeup for a while after this shopping trip happened! Oooo and by the way I can get lazy with blog photos so I am trying to be better, hope these are okay! When I have more time (weekends/holidays) I might edit the photos just to make it clearer what Im talking about! For now this will do because I really wanted to upload it but with just going back to school I am very busy with GCSE stuff - and this is only the start!

Anyway beginning with the haul...

Above is everything I purchased, this was mostly one trip but a few odd things weren't.

So here we have cheek/face powders.
On the left there is the beautyuk baked blush in Shade 3-HALO , it isn't that pigmented but it gives a nice glow to my cheeks, nothing too striking!
At the top is the MUA Shimmer Kisses Bronzer, its not to pigmented, it smells of play-doh though! It only gives a subtle glow and I stick to keeping it on the cheeks.
To the right is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer (has some fancy name but I can't remember it off the top of my head) in 51, boy am I impressed...this is rare for a bronzer but people think its a real tan! its far from orange and is said to have golden flecks in but its pretty much matte. Im more of a blusher kinda gal but I adore this baby! IN LOVE
Finally the Natural Collection blusher in Peach Melba, everybody loves this stuff...just a lovely cheap pigmented peachy natural blusher! how fab?!?

Eyes!! So in love with everything here especially the SEVENTEEN doll'd up mascara because it was fairly cheap yet its fabulous, would compare it to the Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara. It has a plastic curved wand which Im fine about but I know not everyone would be!
To the left is the Revlon Colour-Stay Quad in Addictive, I was originally looking for a different quad but I couldn't find it so I just went for this, I like it because its very much everyday, I love it for school and its very pigmented. With my MUA eyelid primer it lasts basically forever.
Then finally on the right is the Revlon Colour-Stay Smokey Shadow Stick, I remember when these came out and I was younger I really wanted one but because I was only young I probably would of gone for an awful shade and I wouldn't know how to use it! Also it would be all my pocket money so im glad I waited! Anyway I love both shades in this and it looks like you have spent ages on your eyes with this but really its great for a rush! My shade is Torch.

Bits and bobs... how pro of me with that huge finger print in the middle of the strawberry lip balm. I got that from marks and spencers because I was just trying to get rid of change (It feels so good when you have spent like all your 20ps and 10ps!) I can't find it on the internet but I think it was £2 or maybe £2.50...I don't find it that moisturising but it smells nice!!
Onto things that smell nice...The Body Shop White Musk Libertine perfume, I don't quite understand why but it has Leona Lewis's signature on it...maybe she designed the packaging or something (that was made up) but this isn't the best smelling perfume ever but I like it because its not normally the kind of smell I would go for...I am a fan or sweet/fruity/fresh smells but this is quite heavy! I only got the 30ml and I'm glad because I like to try lots of scents. Also it was £5.50 in the sale when I got it!!

Face stuff... I will explain the eyeshadow! Basically it looks a lot darker in this picture but I got it for my eyebrows but its too dark even though my eyebrows are pretty dark for blonde hair! One day I will find the perfect shade! It is MUA shade 19.It was £1
http://www.muastore.co.uk/index.php/matte-eyeshadow-shade-19/#review-form
Next is the MUA powder, I know I have better ones (RIMMEL STAY MATTE - OF COURSE) but I wanted one with a click on lid, and dirt cheap because I know it will get wrecked for school. This does the job and takes the shine off my face in the middle of the day! It was a bargain at £1 and I got shade 2 because I thought shade 1 looked to light (shocked face, never happened before) It does give slightly powdery finish but I get so shiny you cant tell & its school so I look a mess anyway!

And finally the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in 100 Ivory, I have wanted this purely because everyone has it but I don't love it... but that's for my skin. I can understand why people love it so much! Firstly its too dark and I'm pretty sure 100 is the lightest shade (well it was that I could see) and I have oily skin so they possible wasn't the best choice but I always go for ones for dry/normal skin because people rave about them...anyway what I am trying to say is I knew it wouldn't really suit my skin type but I bought it because I can't control myself. Also I don't think it has enough coverage for my highly spotty face. It was £8.99 from Boots.

Last but defo not least... LIPS! I adore lips products, so I shall go from left to right with these babies (just realised that goes well with the fact three are baby lips) Anyway Left is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Crème 415 Pink in the Afternoon. WOW is all I can say, this is so creamy yet so pigmented and its the perfect nude for me, the photo isn't really doing it justice but I can't wear super nude, nudes but this is slightly pinky so me likey. The packaging makes me feel classy and I like it for school/everyday wear. It was £7.49 from Boots.
BABY LIPS... basically I love these. End of. I have Peach Kiss and Cherry Me from the original line and can I just stop to say how amazing these smell, Cherry Me is a very sheer red colour that is nice for school as something a bit different (smells like Cherry Ice-Breakers Sours and they remind me of holiday so that's nice) and Peach Kiss is a shimmery sheer nude colour, it basically just adds a bit of shimmer to your lips (It smells like sweets and holidays and all things nice) I got those in America although you can buy them in England now!
- interesting link
Then from the Electric Line thannng.. I have Pink Shock which I ADORE, these cant be bought in the UK but they better be asap because I find them more moisturising and more pigmented and I love the colour so much, I was originally hoping to get Strike a Rose but that was nowhere to be seen in Walmart! I also picked one up for Amy because we need all these things!

That was all I bought, I hope that wasn't too long to read because it seems to take forever to put together. I like reading about that kind of thing though, so I hope you enjoy and thank you if you made it to this bit!

Top 5 Summer Lip Products

Lip colours and products are one thing that stands out to me that changes a lot between the summer and winter... for example in the winter I tend to wear darker colours and nudes, however in the summer I wear bright and exciting colours! So today I will be telling you about my lip products that get me through summer! These aren't in any order because I love them all...

1. e.l.f Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in the shade 'Pink Umbrellas'. This is basically like your typical wind-up lip product, similar to the Clinique chubby sticks but at a fraction of the price! The smell isn't that great and normally with makeup I don't mind but I like a lip product to smell good! It just kind of smells of plastic, that is the only downside to this product! It is a nice pinky nude colour but it still seems quite summery! It is only £2.50 but I got it for £1.25 because there was 50% off when you spend over a certain amount at e.l.f. It is quite sheer but I would say its buildable...also its very moisturising.

2. Barry M Lip Gloss Wands in shade 11... boy does this smell good, it has a kind of tropical pineapple sweet scent! And I think that matches the colour perfectly as its a tropical coral/orange colour. It is such a nice lip gloss, it has a decent amount of colour but not too much that I wouldn't be able to wear it everyday, I don't find it sticky at all and I can tell you now its definitely going on my summer holiday with me. It is £4.49 from Boots.

3. Nivea Pearly Shine is a pearly pink quite strongly pigmented lip balm. Once you have applied it the colour lasts for a while but it feels so light a moisturising on my lips which makes it the perfect everyday holiday product! I find it to be a super flattering colour and it is super cheap... only £2.29 from Boots. I can get away with it for school too which I love because its so quick to apply like a lip balm but just makes your lips look slightly more 'done' if you know what I mean!

4. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in Pink Apricot is one of those lip glosses that plumps your lips with that tingly feeling, I think you either love it or hate it, personally I find it quite exciting...this is a coral kind of colour but its not to pigmented which I actually like because I can wear it everyday! I love the smell, It is £9 individually but I got mine in a set with two others for £20 'Half Naked' which is a browny nude and 'Yummy Plum' which is a redy-plum colour. I like these colours but the smells aren't really my favourite... Half Naked is meant to smell of chocolate but I think it smells of feet, and the Yummy Plum smells too sickly and sweet and I think its meant to smell like plums. These have made me want to try more expensive makeup because usually I just get the really cheap things from Boots/Superdrug which can have some amazing things but I want to start getting less makeup but spend more on it now I have all the basics. I will repurchase things like my Collection lasting perfection concealer. Anyway I have gone a bit off topic now!

5. 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in the shade 'Honey Blossom' is a slightly more pink coral (see the coral theme??) lipstick and when you first apply it, its very bright but after a while the colour would still be there just not as strong as originally. It has a shimmery finish and its not too drying on the lips. It is fairly cheap at £4.29 from Boots and there is a huge variety in colours. It has a fairly neutral smell. I have a few of the other shades and for the price I think its a lovely product! This can be built up to quite a bold colour for evening meals out on holiday but it can clash with a lot of clothes and I have to be careful with it not clashing with my blusher.

I hope you enjoyed me speaking about these products, thanks for reading...

p.s - does anyone have any suggestions for a good first MAC lipstick?

Day Out - Village Carnival 2013

So last Saturday (29th June) it was my villages annual carnival, it can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes its really good and sometimes its not really to be honest but this year I had such fun! It basically starts off with a new theme each year and all the primary schools and little kids parade down to the local meadow on floats and in costume early afternoon. Then there are various categories to win for things like 'Best Float'. There is an arena in the middle which all afternoon has things going on like local dance schools, demonstrations (this year it was a bit weird) it turned out to be a load of sheep and ducks going over jumps and through tunnels being chased by a dog...WHAT?!?!? well some people certainly enjoyed that but I personally just didn't get it.

Here are some photos I took of things going on in the day, because what I tend to prefer are the stalls around the outside and just siting down on the meadow with my friends! Enjoy...

Day Out - Graduate Fashion Week 2013 London

I cant remember exactly but I think I went on the Tuesday of Graduate Fashion Week in London, I went on a school trip with the Textiles Department because I am going to be taking it for GCSE. If you aren't from England search it because its too complicated to explain! Anyway, we had an early start and a long coach trip down to London. When we arrived we went round the stands by different universities and colleges. It was really good fun and there were plenty of freebies to pick up as we went round and I have definitely got some inspiration for next year. Then we went and watched a fashion show with all the students from one university. I will insert some pictures because they will probably do a better job of explaining things! Just for your information, most pictures will have the students name in the background so all I did was take photos and I am not taking credit for any of the marvellous designs.

Hope you enjoyed reading this and I shall see you all soon....

MUA lipstick review

So MUA are a very affordable makeup brand available from Superdrug and online, I have 5 of the lipsticks and I am very much a fan! Some of the products are amazing value for money and some you can tell why they are so cheap! MUA lipsticks are all a pound which is amazing!  Just to say, im not sponcered by MUA this is just my view and I hope it helps...

First of all the colour names aren't very imaginative and they all have a lovely creamy formula. They all have a handy little pot at the bottom with extra product in! There are pictures at the bottom...

Shade 12 - I would describe this as a barbie pink because it is bright pink with glitter in, I dont really like this one because of the glitter it doesnt apply very evenly!

Shade 7 - This is a pearly pink but more on the browny pink side, it is very shimmery but not glittery and I love it! It is like a rose gold kind of colour which I am currently loving which you can see if you follow me on pinterest (Rosie Francesca)

Shade 2 - This is a plummy pink, more a blue toned pink! It isn't that shimmery but not quite matte. It is quite a 'grungy' pink if you get me haha.

Shade 13 - A classic bold red, this is such a vibrant colour and it isnt shimmery but still not matte! Louise (from sprinkle of glitter) also loves this product.

Shade 1 - This is a dark maroony red and very autumnal in my view! I love this colour for more of an edgy look haha! It looks good all skin tones.

So here are the swatches! I hope this helped, thanks for reading...
